Hi! My name is Anna with Daisy Consulting. I have over 12 years' experience of working with young adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other neurodiverse diagnoses. I am a bonus parent to an 11-year-old adolescent who is neurodivergent. I also have personal experience as an advocate for my 45-year-old cousin with Autism, Bi-Polar, and Epilepsy- who continues to learn how to live independently. Over the years I have been a Program Director at a nonprofit serving adults with ASD and IDD and a Senior Planner for Houston-Galveston Area Council Workforce Board, leading multiple paid internship initiatives for young adults with disabilities. From my personal and professional experience, there seems to be a disconnect from the younger years to adult years for individuals who are neurodiverse (and any disability). This makes for an unfair playing field socially and vocationally as they enter their "transition" years. I am a certified Job Coach and Job Skills Trainer who knows how to highlight the skill sets an individual has, develop skill sets needed, and find vocational opportunities to match their desire and ability.
